Looks like the 09 Spring Turkey Harvest is down slightly from 08 I would have guessed it to be a lot lower with the poor weather conditions we experienced this year.

Wow, Ozarks! You folks killed as many birds as we have turkey population! What is your bag limit? We can kill one tom or bearded hen here in NH.

The non-res limit is two gobblers, I assume the resident limit is the same. Pleased to say that our camp harvested 5 adult gobblers in Schuyler County to contribute to that total.

Thanks for the info Ozark.

Fan is correct it is a two bird limit for resident and nonresident alike. Our spring season was extended from two weeks to three weeks several years back. You can take a male or a bird with a visible beard, your allowed one bird the first week if you don't take a bird the first week you can kill two birds during the second or third week just not two birds on the same day. We are only allowed to hunt until 13:00 in the spring you can hunt all day during the fall. Our fall season runs the month of October and you may take two birds of either sex. Back years ago during the spring season you could only hunt until 12:00 the first week and do to daylight savings time hitting in the middle of the season the second week you could hunt until 13:00.

Sorry I meant to add that our last Turkey population estimate was at 575,000 birds.
