Could Only Watch!!

Well our shotgun season in KY opened this past weekend and I got skunked, didnt even see a track. At work today though I was all over them. I am a lineman for an electic coop and work outside, while eating lunch in the bucket truck I look up and four big longbeards walk out not 100 yards away. The longbeards were in a perfect spot to get into position for a kill also. They sit there and teased me all lunch, and then when we start back to work I look across the other field and there are 14 hens out where I can watch them all afternoon. Then when we are leaveing we get down the road and 10 more toms are out. All I could do is watch

Hey Bo,

Isn't that just like a turkey? No gun, no permission, not the season, they're everywhere we look! The season's in we're in full camo, our gun's loaded, we're on land where we've seen them for the last 9 months...you know the rest of the story.

I think that's part of what keeps us going after them.

Clark nice to hear from you, been a while since I have been on. Now that I am off ten hour shifts hopefully I will have a little more time to get on. Your are exactly right about those crazy turkeys, and they will make a liar out of you all the time. Oh they are fun to chase though.
